So I had the pleasure of giving a lecture at OCAD last night, which admittedly was a first for me.

I chatted about what we do here at Blast Radius, walked through some examples of our work, and gave some insight into the process of pitching new business. It looks like I may be back to chat again next semester, which I’m definitely looking forward to. What I found quite interesting was how attentive the students were - clearly, they were there to actually listen. Hopefully they found some value in what I had to say.

Being that I didn’t attend post-secondary school, I’d never actually been in a lecture let alone given one. Regardless, I think it went pretty well… hopefully the students felt the same.

Ok, so let’s get this out of the way immediately. I am by no means a fan of American Idol. In fact, I can’t stand it. I find it far to contrived and completely unentertaining. And that’s why I found it absolutely hilarious that Howard Stern is now pushing to keep Sanjaya in the running as long as possible. From what I understand, Sanjaya is clearly the worst performer this season and should have been voted off ages ago. And we all know this is a voting contest, and not a singing contest, right? So what better way to disrupt the sanctity of the Idol Vote than having everyone vote for the worst singer. The best part is that Sanjaya himself has stated that he knows he’s not better than the other performers.

Imagine him being this years American Idol? He’d have to go out and tour. And they’d have to put out an album. Oh god, this is perfect.

So vote Sanjaya! Let’s see how long we can keep him in the running for.

October 25, 2006. Yep, that was the last time I posted something. It’s amazing how long I’ve let this simmer without touching it. So much has happened since then, but I just haven’t been inspired to actually talk about it. Since then, I’ve taken up snowboarding, I got a Wii for Christmas, Apple announced the iPhone, my AppleTV should be arriving soon, it’s almost spring which means it’s almost motorcycle season! So much to talk about!

Ok, so I’m getting back on the horse again. Lets see how long I keep it up this time.
